WT1 -PIE CHART

Post by bench »

The pie charts compare the population proportion of three different age group in Yemen and Italy in 2000 and the population projection in 2050.

It is clear that the adults was the most populated age group in both countries in 2002. In 2050, it is predicted that the proportion of elderly in Italy and adults in Yemen will rise considerably.

In 2000, children in Yemen accounted half of the total population, whereas the proportion for elderly was only 3.6 percent, the lowest. By contrast, the percentage of elderly in Italy was at least a quarter of total population, the second highest. The figure for 15-59 years old in Italy stand at 61.6 percent, the most populated in that year.

By 2050, it is predicted that the proportion of adults in Yemen will slightly rise by 9 percent, while for Italy it will significantly drop to 46.2 percent. By comparison, the population projection for elderly in both countries is expected to grow by at least half of the recorded population in 2000.
