The following is a description on how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects information on the weather in order to produce a reliable forecast. The information coming from the satellite is interpreted in three ways. Firstly, it is displayed as a satellite photo .Secondly the information received from a radar is then projected on a radar screen and lastly the information attained from the drifting buoy is transferred on a synoptic chart. Once the pictorial data received in three different forms is analyzed and forecasted. After this process, it is prepared further for broadcasting. This data is currently stored on the computer. The data is now ready for Broadcasting. This is done in three different forms either on television where it is explained with illustration, or announced on the radio and lastly on telephone as a record announcement. In this way, the information is received promptly without any further delay.
