Time is an important factor in every field. Do you think following
strict time limits is more important than giving quality results
At first, the statement mentioned above, “Time is an important factor”
sounds very convincing but on a closer look at second part of the
statement mentioning “strict time limits over quality results” somehow
weekens the entire topic. I agree that time is the most critical
factor when it comes to delivering results but quality cannot be
compromised in most of the cases but can happen in cases where we are
limiting ourselves to plan our day better which could be watering the
plants, working on a pre defined report structure, and other petty
tasks which do not require much attention and efforts. This rule is
applicable in both personal as well as professional lives.
In our personal lives, we tend to spend time on cooking and it demands
time. For example, if we are cooking under time pressure, the quality
of food may not be good, the food might remain undercooked and may not
be edible. The other example we can take here is of a child who has
just started going to school. We cannot impose stricter timelines on
him as he is at a learning stage and takes his/her time to understand
the new subjects in his life.
If we consider our professional lives, delivering a project on time
sometimes becomes a challenge considering there are other
factors/circumstances/external environments we work on. At times,
there is a delay in client’s feedback, some technical challenges,
project re-evaluation, etc. which may result in extending timelines.
In creative fields, stricter timelines usually do not work as
creativity knows no time bounds and you cannot force a creative person
to think of good ideas in a minute. This does not mean we give him
time till eternity but we can limit/ease out some timelines.
As a human being, it is advisable to follow stricter timelines to make
us more responsible and disciplined in our lives but it is inhumanly
impossible to follow them all the time, after all we are humans and not
machines. Quality of life is more important than working on stricter
timelines all the time though we should try to be a little more
disciplined.

this is a tough question. It often surprises me how some simple questions turn out to be huge debates of philosophy

I will give 6.5-7. This essay was written at home probably with sufficient time. It won't surprise me if this essay is given 7 because it is hand written under 40 mins with no extra time allowed, like proofreading when uploading.
