I am writing to apply for the new work-from-home scheme, which is introduced last week.

The principal reasons why I would like to join this scheme is, my job main duties are managing the systems and network infrastructure. Daily routine work is check the server logs, backup status, patch management, create / modify users & change the backup tapes weekly. Apart from the backup tape, all of my work can be perform remotely from the home using the secure SSL VPN.
Therefore I can work all first four days of the week from home, and weekend only I have to visit to the datacenter for tapes and physical health check. This will help the company to save the electricity, desk space and other refreshments cost since my work is only limited to the datacenter. Also it will be help me to save my two hours daily travelling time, cost of transportation.
I am eager to get your support and approval, I’m looking forward your response.

Therefore I would like to request permission to work the first four days of the week from home, and on Fridays I can visit the datacenter to change the tapes and for a physical health check. This will help the company to save electricity, desk space and other refreshment costs since my work is only limited to the datacenter. Also it will be help me by saving me two hours daily travelling time and the cost of transportation.
