Confusion about listening

Post by kmommom »

Hello guys,

I have a question regarding my recent IELTS test and its bugging me since then
in listening's section 1 which was about camp sites, there was a question like this "people can have ______"

But the word i heard during listening was 'fire' and i wrote 'bonfire' instead of it, if you contemplate it has kind of negative effect to have fire that is why i have written 'bonfire' in that blank
So now what my concern is, will it be counted as correct?

I believe they only want the word said in the audio. So I think bonfire would be wrong.

I agree. Use the word that is used in the audio.
