Are higher taxes or lower taxes better for society?

Tax is the money we pay to the government and is part of our obligation as a citizen of the country. The money that we pay as a tax is being used in order for us to have a better infrastructure and to have a better access to the services in a community. Therefore, I strongly believe that having a high levy is beneficial because it creates equality among people and it brings progress to the community.
Every individual in a community has its obligation to pay its own levy. Having higher income means having to pay higher amount of tax. On the other hand, those who belong to the lower income has to pay lower amount of tax. In the Philippines, those who belong to the category of high paying job like doctors are oblige to pay 20% tax from their monthly salary while those who gets a minimum wage has to pay 10% only from their monthly salary. This simply means that everyone is given the equal responsibility by the government.
Another benefit of a higher levy is, it brings good opportunities in a community. If everyone do their share by paying their tax, it creates a lot of development that could be beneficial to all. Fr instance, that levy could be used to finance in building good infrastructures, provide better transportation that could attract more foreign investors. Therefore, a lot of people could benefit out of it.
In conclusion, paying higher tax has its own benefits. Therefore, I strongly believe that it creates harmony to the people and brings success to the community if being used wisely. This is the best way to bring change in a society.
