GT Task 1 - Please review this and help me to improve my writing

Write a letter to your sport teacher informing that you cannot continue the classes.
• What type of sport classes you were taking?
• What is the reason for not taking sports classes?
• State what you have enjoyed in your sports classes?


Hi Madam,
I’m writing this to inform you that I will not come for swimming classes from next week onwards due to bad health condition.
I had been suffering from cough since last month and it was not recovered even for the medicine. My family Doctor explained that this cause because I continuously participate for the swimming practices thrice a week. Further, he advised me to stop the Swimming practices for a while until I completely recovered.
I really enjoyed the practice sessions very much. Especially the practice sessions we had for the inter school tournament at the sugathadasa international stadium.it was my first experience in practicing at a pool that is recognized internationally. Moreover you helped me lot to improve my hidden talents and skills. I’m very grateful to you for all the guidance and advices that you have given to me. I hope to come to your classes again as soon as I recovered.

If you upgrade the grammar (past perfect tense, count/non-count nouns, etc) you could definitely get a 7
