Given bar-chart shows the subject wise success percentage in the high school competency exams in the period of 2010 to 2011.
Students got best result in the computer science, mathematics and foreign languages; which includes French, German and Spanish. Moreover, the performance of the both gender in the subjects like, Physics, history, foreign languages and mathematics are almost same. Girls got slightly better result, with maximum 2.5% percent in the history.
In the chemistry, the success rate of girls compared to boys is relatively high, that is about 16%. Similarly, girls also perform best in computer science with success rate of 56.3%, which constitutes about 14% difference with boys. Geography is the only subject in which passing rate of male students are more than female counterpart. 30.4% boy candidates successfully cleared high school competency exam, while female candidates cleared 20.1%, which is about 10% less than male students.
Overall, the result shows that the passing rate of female candidate is marginally high than male candidates.
