Hi, my name is Umair. I am from Pakistan , but living in Canada for last 2 years. I took ielts test couple of weeks ago, and got 6 bands overall. I am really disappointed, because I was hoping to get 7 overall. Although this is enough to start diploma program, but I need at least 6.5 for a degree

My friends said you'll never gets a desire bands in Canada, because they mark you very strictly, and it's actually happened.

Did you get practice grades before the exam?

Yes I did, and always gets 36 to 38 correct in listening, 32 to 35 in reading. Although I am not a prefect academic writer , but not bad when its comes to speaking. :-/
