Cultural traditions essay

Post by Max maximus »

Some people think that cultural traditions may be destroyed when they are used as money making attractions aimed at tourists. Other believe it is the only way to save these traditions. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Nowadays, it is clear that cultural events are held in almost in every country with the view to evoke their ancistors and make youngsters aware of their customs as well as attract tourists. The majorities claim that cultural traditions can be devastated providing that they are used so as to make money from foreign visitors. However, others hold the view that it is the optimal way to keep them alive. In this essay both sides will be examined before a reasoned conclusion is reached.

There are good grounds for arguing that cultural conventions might be destroyed as money making performances are intended to tourists. One of these is that these attractions can easily spoil the way younger generation of a particular nation think about their culture on condition that money making attractions are common for tourists. For example, these youths may consider making money is better than celebrating the original cultural ceremonies. Another is that money making attractions and some changes could be disrespectful habit for the spiritis of a nation's ancestors.

Equally, there are strong grounds for arguing that it is an important option in order to save these traditions. One significant argument is that the accumulated maney from tourists can be used for the expenses of prospective cultural events or renovations of historical buildings and even the governments can benefit from tourism for their country's economy. Furthermore, the cultural attractions aimed at tourists can be exellent opportunity for a nation to showcase its traditional dances or habits for foreigners. By doind so, individuals can exchange or teach their traditional lifestyle with other people who are from other cultures. The more tourists know about a cultural traditions of a nation, the easier it would be for the nation to retain its traditions.

In general, it seems to me that although the money-making atteaction for tourists have negative impacts on the culture and young individuals of a nation, it can be the best to save their teaditions in some respects

Hello!

Overall, a good essay, though I think that the introduction is a little long and that the main paragraphs could be more developed. In particular, you don't say why people might act as you suggest.

All the best,
David
