Task 2 school Exam (working on band 7)

Post by raghadmamd »

School exam is one of the most significant experiences that the majority of people have to go through it. Sometimes, an exam result can determine your future study or career. Some schools starting their exams very early in life may be below the age of six years. Obviously, exams and tests at school have its ups and downs. In this essay, I will explore both the pros and the cons of them.
Let's start by looking at the advantages; one of the main objectives of tests is scoring the level of subjects understanding by students and how much they can recall back of the given information. It can also help the student to know his weakness and how to improve. Another issue related to this, is giving parents feedback about their child progress in the school and exactly which areas need enforcement and more study.
Turning to the negatives, exam in school means stress to whole family not only child. For example, in my country, it is often to hear that the family cannot go for an occasion because their children have exams. The second point is that some of the exams are only depending on curriculum recall and do not allow critical thinking, in such a way it is very difficult to build a problem-solving skill in students. For these reasons most students just study for the sake of the exam which would significantly affect their performances in future jobs.
All things considered, there are both positives and negatives for exams. In spite the fact that they allow recognition of areas of strength and weakness, they also cause a lot of stress to the whole family. Personally, I believe exams are very important.

Hello!

Not bad, but quite basic. We can clearly see that the main paragraphs are hardly longer than the introduction. I think that you need to develop the ideas (which are good) in order to achieve a high score.

All the best,
David
