Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
The bar graph depicts science qualification held by people in Malaysia and Singapore. Overall there is little difference between the two countries at each level of qualification. In school leaving exams Malaysia is ahead of Singapore by around 5%, but after acquiring science qualification at school level people tend to look less interested in science in both countries.
There is significant decrease in number of people enrolled for science qualification at Bachelor’s degree in both countries, though Malaysia has seen a much sharper decline of around 25% in their Bachelor’s degree program.
However, number of people at bachelor’s degree in Singapore is twofold as compared to Malaysia which means people in Singapore takes considerable interest in science qualification even after leaving school. Interesting to note that, the ratio of people at postgraduate level is same in both countries.
There are around 60 to 65 percent people in both countries who do not have science qualification at any level.
