You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should read only those books that are about real events, real people, and established facts.
Use specific reasons and details to support your opinion.
You should write at least 250 words.

Books cover a wide range of life aspects. Some of these books are fictional stories while others are real. It is agreed that people should only focus on true stories and facts books. Analysing both the beneficial effect as an important inspiring source and the knowledge gained from these kinds of books will show this.
Firstly, real books and success stories have high degree of reliability to be achievable. For example, if anyone heard about enthusiastic successful character and then realized that this character is fictional, he would be pessimistic and believe that his dreams are impossible to become true. By contrast, real stories ,such as; biographies, give impression that all their events are from real life happen to real people just like him. Therefore, reading real stories elevates the possibility of effective inspiration and gives the chance to make significant changes in readers’ lives. Because of this, we can see why people should give more attention to fact-based stories rather than fairy tales as a source of inspiration.
Secondly, real books feed the reader with enormous amount of information about historical events and leaders. For instance, reading a book about the World War 2 enables the reader to have a comprehensive knowledge about its great battles and remarkable sacrifices. As a result, he may acquire a profound perspective of life, history and humanity. Thus, this makes it clear why reading real books and facts have an essential importance for every reader.
In conclusion, after analysing these two distinct advantages of reading fact books, it is quite evident that such books have great role in enriching people’s souls and minds much more than other types of books. Frankly, I think that community should encourage citizens to concentrate on these kinds of books rather than fictional ones.

Re: Could you please assess my GT task 2 writing?
Hello!
First main paragraph - Second sentence - why? Third sentence - give the impression - what do you mean? Fourth sentence - why? Fifth sentence - not proven.
Second main paragraph - What if the history book is wrong? For example, in China, history books routinely deny that Mao's Great famine ever happened. Also, according to Chinese history books, the Chinese won WW2 on their own.
As an atheist, my first reaction on seeing this question was 'Where do religious books come in on this topic?' (If one religion is right, all the others must be wrong!)
Your conclusion is not proven at all. Are there no benefits to having young children read fairy tales?
Overall, I consider this a very weak essay. Your points are either not developed or lacking in any attempt to consider the opposing view.
Grammatical structures arel imited in range, since you have chosen to write as if everything were clear and definitive.
All the best,
David
PS I read many more factual books than fictional ones, but you haven't convinced me that you are right.
