Digitization has improved the way we use certain things. Some people think the public libraries should leverage on the technology and offer the books online. However, some people notion this approach. Below is the gist of this argument.
One of the biggest challenge with the online books is one has to have a device with an internet connection. However, the availability of internet is not widely available across the globe. For instance, if a student who has to prepare for his/her exams and accessing books online sometimes makes it difficult for them due to unavailability of these resources. Secondly, reading online requires good viewer software like adobe reader etc. with a better screen resolution to avoid stress on individual health. Thirdly, reading the books online may not be so comfortable for people especially when you have to refer the different sections in the book.
On the other side of it, online availability of the books can offer various advantages. Firstly, one doesn't need to spend time in traveling to the physical location of the library and stick with the specified time. Resources can be accessed from anywhere like school or home. Secondly, there will not be much of the cost involved in order to maintain the library as there won't be any wear or tear in case of digital copies and the saved cost could be utilized in upgrading the collection of the library. Thirdly, digital copies will have longer life compare to the physical ones and tracking can be done more effectively.
To conclude, public libraries should be made available online considering the technological advancement. With the increased availability of e-copies and the supported devices like kindle gives a good reading experience to the user. This will even certainly help the end users to access the resources more effectively be it finding or subscribing a book.

Re: please review my GT task 2
Hello!
The gist?! Very informal!
There are some very good points in this essay, but all the points mentioned in the first main paragraph are dismissed (ignored) in the conclusion. Why do you make these points if they are worthless and why do you consider them worthless?
Vocabulary is very good, but the range of grammatical structures is limited and mainly consists of assertions. (To be clear, I largely agree with your assertions, but are they true all the time for all people?)
All the best,
David
