Examinations are the core of the education system in most nations. Some believes that examinations can bring beneficial effect to our educational system, while others argue it can cause some negative impact to the students.

Test takers are being evaluated for their ability to receive information throughout their course to evaluate their understanding and capability to deliver the information correctly. For instance, medical students will be assessed by the end of the semester to ensure they are equipped with the proper knowledge. Without the examinations, the school will be unable to determine which student is incompetent to practice as a health professional. Therefore, examinations are necessary to ensure the students are competent enough before they practice in society.

Also, at younger age, we were being tested to see if we are fit to further our study to higher education based on our grades. Such grading system helps students to determine the career path of the students. For example, a student who is well performed in chemistry and physics but not in biology may consider engineers or chemical engineers as their future career. Additionally, if the children are not performing well academically can consider crafty work such as carpenter. So, by using tests we can shorten the time and dilemma of choosing the right career path for the child.

However, some argues that examination places the test takers under immense stress and it may cause some irreparable consequences. To illustrate, in some countries, such as Singapore and Malaysia, there were some reports about students committed suicide because their test results did not meet with their target. As a result, they took away their lives due to the stress from their family and depression. Thus, examination causes mental issues and claim lives of the test taker who couldn't handle the stress.

To conclude, I believe examination can have greater educational benefits than the negative effect it causes.

Overall, not a bad essay, but quite simple. You haven't really examined the issues - especially the disadvantages.

However, grammar and vocabulary are good and the essay is clear.

The biggest problem is that in the conclusion you fail to say how you actually arrived at your opinion. There is nothing to suggest why one argument is stronger than the other, in your opinion.
