8 on IELTS General

I got my result today:

Reading 7.5
Writing 8
Speaking 8
Listening 8

Overall 8

8 on Reading would have been great, but I am still happy with the score.
I was religiously following the discussions on this network and watched all YouTube videos from Ryan on writing task2 and speaking.

I stuck to the structure of task 2 : Background, Detailed Background, Thesis and Outline and so on. It helped me a lot. I would highly recommend that.

Some good vocabulary for speaking from the videos was a great help as well. I ensured I committed some of those to my memory and used them on the test.

Tarun, you are done with the toughest parts of the exams where you need assistance of others. The reading section need practice only which you can do yourself.

Congratulations Tarun its a pretty healthy score , However, if your aim is Australian Immigration, then you are just a fraction away from scoring 20 points (8 band in each of the individual module).

Could you share some of the useful tips pertaining to writing and speaking that lead you to successfully score an 8.0?
