Active voice or passive voice

Hi Ryan,

While going through the task 2 sample essays, what is the ideal response format? Can it be answered in active voice stating my opinion for ex : " I think, I agree or I believe" instead of ex : " Its is believed that, It is agreed that"

Hi shrix,

As far as your statement of position goes (thesis), either wording is fine. However, avoid using overly personal language elsewhere in the essay. Language like "I think" and "...is clear to you and me" makes your essay sound like more of a letter than an academic piece.
