The older generation tend to have very traditional ideas about how people should live, think and behave, however, some people believe that these ideas are not helpful in preparing younger generations for modern life. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?
People´s lifestyle have changed in recent decades due to the rapid growth of technology. Older people insist on their traditional thoughts and attitudes about how people should live, while younger generations tend to live and behave in modern lifestyle. It is agreed that nowadays new ideas would be useful for younger generations in their future life. This issue will be analyzed in this essay using examples and reasons in following paragraphs.
First of all, gender equality is one of the credit aspects of modern ways of thinking. For instance, in some countries, traditional perspectives of people were the main obstacle of women´s education. It is clear that this kind of conventional behaviors would not be compatible with modern lifestyle. Thus, people should not learn their older attitudes to their children.
Secondly, because of spreading globalization, people need to be up-to date and should prepare their children in modern ways. Nowadays, people from different cultures and countries are involve with each other. With regard to this issue, people need to behave and think more flexible than the past. As an example, people tend to migrate and live in other countries or even marry with other nationalities. Therefore, unnecessary prejudices can hinder the younger generations from improving their life.
To sum up, in spite of some valuable ideas of past lifestyle, after analyzing the importance of gender equality and spreading globalization throughout the world, it is agreed that unlike the conventional ways of think and behave, modern forms of life need for upbringing the future generations. It is predicted that the gap between the two current generation thoughts increases in the future.
