Hello everyone,
I'm Paulina from Colombia. I'm an English teacher but currently i live in Germany as an aupair. I need to take the IELTS because I want to get my masters here. My goal is to get 9 in the test .
Thanks to Ryan for creating this forum and to everyone posting materials, media and experiences. Hopefully I will collaborate in the near future.
For now I'll go through all the topics in this forum and It'd be very nice if I could team up with anyone interested in practicing for the test.
Thanks again,
Paulina

Re: From Colombia taking the test in Germany
Hello Paulina,
Nice to meet you. I am a new one and also want to study abroad. But IELTS is a big problem for me. Because my skill is not good enough for applying school of master degree. (overall band -5.5) Please advise me how could I improve it. Actually I have been studying English for almost 9 years! Too long time but it's including high school time.
I really hope that you can get 9 in the test
Good luck!
Regards Amy,

Hello Amy,
thank you for replying to my very first post.
Well, I don't know you but I think that if you've been learning English for 9 years with no big improvement, it's because some of the strategies you use to learn are not the best for you.
Please tell me what kind of practices you do and how your teachers have taught the language, then I'll be able to give my opinion and some tips.
Have a good day!
