Hey, everyone! I'm Anton, from the North Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Well, my native language is russian and I am here, cause I am preparing for the IELTS exam and the purpose is 7 band score, at least. I need this score because of requires of the University I wish to study in. :) I would also like to improve my speaking skill.
I have a tutor here, in Kazakhstan and she thinks that I can speak more fluently because of my proficiency. But as I am not in any English-speaking country and I have never talked in English before, it is a bit difficult to concentrate and start speaking for the first time. : :( :D

H Anton,

Nice to meet you. Thank you for the background on your situation.

Firstly, don't feel discouraged if you lack access to native English speakers. With the right approach, impressive results are still possible in all four skills. Toby from Uzbekistan is a great example of this. His results were 8.5, 9, 6.5 and 8.5 despite never having spoken to a native English speaker before. He communicates his approach in this interview: http://ieltscast.com/2013/09/28/episode ... t-try.aspx

Be sure to also post writing and speaking samples and arrange Skype speaking partners. User Auref is trying to get an IELTS study ring organized on Skype, which may be helpful to you: http://www.ieltsnetwork.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1535

Good luck. Band 7+ is possible.
