What should be considered or kept in mind in resolving problems between individuals or groups? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

With a growing number of regional problems around the world, a seemingly important question challenging the world leaders today is how to resolve conflicts between groups and individuals. While many would argue that groups’ interest should be considered over individuals’ interest, however, in many occasions we may find that there is no single solution to resolve conflicts and that it should be considered on case to case basis.

Let us take a recent case in India, where there had been protests by locals over allocation of land for mining purposes by the federal government. According to the government, it was in the national interest that these lands be exploited for mining purposes, which they felt was apt, given the current scenario of scarcity of minerals in the country. However locals, who were mostly tribal from that region, did not agree to get evicted since they associated their land with their culture and identity. This conflict of interest resulted in a legal battle, which finally ended up with the Supreme Court of India. Finally, a verdict was given in favour of the locals, where the court upheld the individual interest of the local tribal over the national interest of the country, sighting the reason that the land could not be use for mining as it represented the identity of the tribal of that region.

On the contrary, another case can be our own, when we need to think of whether or not we need to sacrifice our own interests against that of our family, friends or for the organization that we work for. Our own individual interest may not always take precedence over others, especially when it comes to our own family, where we may consider the interest of our family over our personal ones. Even at wok, we may go by the decision of a group for an amicable resolution to a problem.

Therefore, from the above we can conclude that when it comes to the interest of a group of individuals against a larger group of people, the conflict resolution is more complex and challenging. However, there is no one remedy for this, since at an individual level, resolution may be easier as collective interests are mostly acceptable.

Well written, your problem does not seem to be on task achievement because you have put good examples and discussed the topic well. Grammar, sentence structure is again the issue, although not a lot. I suggest you try to write slowly as I make mistakes when I write fast, put different synonyms in the sentences and you are sure to get a good score.
