Topic:-
GOVERNMENT SHOULD SPEND MORE MONEY ON RAILWAYS RATHER THAN ROADS.
TO WHAT EXTENT DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT?

Transportation has evolved over the period of time. People are considering various aspects like safety, comfort, distance etc. before opting for it .However, there has significant growth seen in the rail transportation.
People started commuting through rails for their shorter and longer journeys. Trains are considered to be safest modes compared with the other modes of the transportation. It is much more comfortable and affordable too. However, government should invest more into this sector in order to provide a good connectivity for the passengers. There are lots of countries like China, India who are considered to have the largest rail network and government has investing funds for the improvisation of the current infrastructure and services. For e.g. In 2016 rail budget, government has provided the on-call boarding lunch facility and dedicated e-ticketing window increase the booking for a general public in order to avoid the middlemen interruptions.
On the other side, sometimes the connectivity and frequency will make it difficult for a person to opt this as a mode of transportation. For e.g. in case of urgency, one can’t use it as it takes lot of time in order to reach to a particular destination. Sometimes safety of the passenger is being compromised either due to lack of security in the cabin or poor track condition which may lead to fatal accidents.
I believe government should provide more safety features with a good connectivity which will increase the passenger base and help in getting more revenue. Introduction of the bullet trains will help in reducing the turnaround time.
To conclude, this mode is always considered to be a safest mode and government should invest more funds considering the volume of people who uses it.
