Some people think the main purpose of school is to turn children into good citizens and workers, rather than to benefit them as individual. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Schools are considered to be a mecca for students. This is the place where a child is being nurtured and learns various things. However, some people think that schools plays a vital role in making a good citizen and the argument has been discussed below.

School helps children learn the importance of education and teaches them the moral values of being disciplined. A school even helps them in shaping up their career and gives them a direction where they can head to. It’s very important the school provides the right platform for them to understand the various attributes which can help in their future of being a responsible citizen or a worker in future. For instance, there are various events like role plays depicting a general issue like impact of global warming or celebration during national festival can help in understanding the students about the importance and the sacrifice made by our freedom fighters.

On the other side, as there are variety of students in schools should be able to determine the potential of an individual and should groom them accordingly. Interest of the individual should be considered so that it can help them in building their expertise .For instance, school should have more science exhibition so that they interested science students so that they can understand the concept more in detail.

To conclude, it cannot be the only responsibility of school in creating a responsible citizen. However, I believe that parents can also equally play a significant role in creating such awareness for an effective worker or a good citizen.

To conclude, it cannot be only the responsibility of schools in creating a responsible citizen. However, I believe that parents can also equally play a significant role in creating such awareness for an effective worker or a good citizen.
