In today’s competitive world, one of the biggest challenges in front of couple especially working is how to manage the parenthood considering the finances. However, some people think government should pay to the parents of young children. Below is summary which explains about the pros and cons of the same.
A child needs his/her mother more than anyone else at the early days. Therefore, most of times mother tend to sacrifice their career in order to look after the child. Giving the incentive would always help the families financially and provide stability in managing the expenses and could be saved for the future of the child.
However, this will eventually reduce the burden from the father too. For instance, this policy has already in place in countries like Australia where government pays off and by this way they encourage people to have a child in order to increase the population of the country. Even sometime this dilemma of the stability and finances impacts the couple and delay up their decision of a child which makes it difficult for female to conceive due to the age factor.
On another side, it may be a difficult to implement in populous countries like China and India where it would impact the economy of the country. There could be possibilities that people may start misusing this policy in order to get money. It may not be worth for all the segment of the society like upper class and higher middle class. Sometimes the turnaround time may be too long due to the process involvement.
To conclude, I think overall the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, this policy needs to be applicable considering the ecosystem of the country as the rules and regulations may vary.
