Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement.
To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

*****************************************************************************

Waste management is biggest hurdle to manage especially in the urban cities. Due to this, it makes our surroundings filthier and invites lot of rodents to enter into the human territory. Some people thinks there should be a legal way to handle the recycling of the home waste. However, some people notion this argument. This essay will discuss both viewpoints before coming to a reasoned conclusion.

Recycling of the waste management can be controlled effectively by creating the awareness among the people. Educating the people in the society by explaining the significance of recycling should benefit the entire society. For instance, the home waste can be segregated into dry and wet waste and wet waste can be recycled and used as manure for the plants. Secondly, it should be bit challenging for the authorities to track it especially in the highly populous countries like India as it may require additional workforce to monitor. Thirdly, it may even be difficult for the working family to do it as it demands some additional time.

On the other side of the argument, people are migrating towards city in huge numbers which will eventually increases the garbage. Therefore, imposing a law for recycling at source will help in streamlining the process. Authorities can regulate it more closely especially in the apartments. Having a law will help people to compel to do as a mandate practice as they would be having a fear of breaking it. For instance, In Bangalore city, state government has enforced a law to segregate the waste management at source to avoid the hefty fine.

To conclude, I believe imposing a law for recycling the home waste would be an efficient approach rather than just dumping it in the aloof places. Recycling at the source would be much cost effective and make our environment a better place to live and breathe.

Hello!

Beware of cause and effect. The waste is not difficult to manage BECAUSE it requires people to do it.

You raise some good points against recycling, but then totally dismiss these in the conclusion, without reason.

Why would people be dumping their rubbish on the roof of buildings? (Aloof means high)

Frequent mistakes with vocabulary and grammar make this essay quite difficult to understand. Points are frequently not explained clearly and/or not developed. Many are just a sentence.

All the best,
David
