TASK 2: In many countries today there are many highly qualified graduates without employment. What factors may have caused this situation and what, in your opinion, can/should be done about it?
Nowadays, young people are struggling to find a satisfying employment. Even for highly qualified graduates who has invested all their resources to achieve an advanced degree and develope their working skills, it is not easy. In this essay, I will discuss the problem of unemployment and the factors that has caused this situation.
According to some experts, modern society is experiencing a time of economic crisis all around the world, which had a tremendous impact on the living conditions of both the older and the new generations.
On the one hand, in many countries 65-year-old workers, who are supposted to enjoy their mostly deserved retirement, can not still do it. On the other hand, young and qualified graduates can not find a well-paid job that could allow them to start a family, for example, to buy a house or to be useful to society. As a result of this problem, sometimes young people choose to leave their own country that does not provide them the future their are looking for. Migration phenomenon is coming back to be popular in this period and sometimes it is welcomed by racism instead of hospitaly.
The world is changing rapidly and becoming every day more hi-tech. That may be another reason of unemployment. In fact, thanks to computers, there is almost no need for human workers in some areas. In this context, it rapresents a huge disadvange.
To sum up, I strongly believe that this unlucky generation of highly qualified students should be a weapon for our community instead of the wasted resources they are at the moment. I also think that a solution to this problem should be given by politicians. There is the urge of laws and economic policies towards this big issue.
THANKS
