Some people think it is better to give donations to local charitable organizations,
while others choose to give to national or international bodies. Discuss both views
and give your own opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant example from your own knowledge or experience.

People are connected with various national or international organizations for the charity. Firstly, it provides a sense of more reliability to the donors that donated amount would be reaching to the required people at a global level. Secondly, it makes much of easier for the people to contribute donations as various centers are available throughout the world. Thirdly, donations helps in addressing the various issues at a global level and even offers a tax rebate as they are authorized .For instance, PM relief fund in India has helped the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal.

On the other side, there are few local organizations which cater to the vicinity of the place. Firstly , Individual can easily contribute with no process hassle and even can connect with these NGO's to understand their requirements like food, clothes, books etc. and donate accordingly. Secondly, these bodies understand the local ecosystem very well and try to address them quickly. For instance, a recent Chennai flood, lot of NGO's from neighboring state offered help in rescuing people. Thirdly, individual can offer help by participating in various programs run by these bodies. For instance, a person having computer literacy can educate the rural children on the basics of computers.

To conclude, I believe that it's always better to connect with the local authorities as individual can easily contribute in order to eradicate the ground level issues by offering in person support.
