The tourist industry has grown enormously over the last fifty years, and there are few places which are unaffected by it. However, tourism rarely benefits the countries which tourists visit. To what extent do you agree or disagree. Write 250 words.
In the past fifty years, the tourist industry has been booming rapidly. While some people would argue that this business does not likely bring many profits to the countries, some persons would contend that it has created advantageous to them. However, there are some disagreements as to whether the overall effect of the travel industry has been positive or negative. While there are certainly valid arguments to the contrary, I personally believe that the merits of it far outweighs its drawbacks.
Firstly, it is an undeniable fact that the infrastructure of the host countries has been revolutionized. For instance, in order to attract more visitors, Hong Kong government has been putting great efforts to improve its mass-transit system and build up more tourist attraction points. This makes it clear that the dwellers can also take advantages of these developments. Moreover, although I certainly agree that there are not likely all the civilian can take these positive consequences as these modifications only in the sightseeing sections. Nonetheless, I contend that both visitors and local residents can obtain positive points from it.
Secondly, and even more importantly, that numerous sightseers have been brought countless economic prosperity to the destination countries. To illustrate, the tourist has consumed much money for staying in hotels, shopping, and eating during travelling in Hong Kong. Consequently, Hong Kong has acquired considerable economic supports from it and also, it has created a lot of job opportunities for the inhabitants. Despite, it also has brought some negative issues such as environmental degradation problem. It is obvious from this that the positive effects of it are more than its detriments.
In conclusion, I once again reconfirm my position that advantage of growing tourist industry is far outweighed its negative aspects. Furthermore, I contend that it seems highly advisable for the executive to put more efforts on developing this global business.
