The graph illustrates 3 trends of consumption of fast food in the United Kingdom over the course of 20 years.
The first trend, consumption of pizza, started at 300 in 1970. We can see a steady and modest decrease in consumption of pizza over the next 15 years to reach 275 in 1975, 225 in 1980 and finally 200 in 1985. This trend showed an insignificant increase in number of people consuming pizza in the final 5 years to reach just over 200 in 1990.

The next two trends, fish & chips and hamburgers, are negatively correlated to the first one, starting at 75 and 25 respectively. Both trends experienced an uninterrupted increase throughout 20 years. Fish & chips consumption rose by 75 in the first 10 years but then doubled its number by 1985, followed by another sharp increase to reach 500 in 1990. The hamburger trend rose steadily and predictable within the first 15 years to reach 50 in 1975, 75 in 1980, and 125 in 1985. Number of hamburgers consumed doubled in the last 5 years to reach just shy of 300 in 1990.
