Tourism sector has boomed over the recent years .People prefers to explore various places across globe to spend their vacations. Therefore, a lot of places have caught the attention of tourists and become popular globally. However, this essay agrees that tourism has grown significantly contributing in benefitting people.
Tourism has expanded its footprint over the years which are helping local people. The main reason for it helps in generating revenue for the local people. Tourists buy local products and spend currency in the local market which helps in boosting up the economy of the country. Even this gives an opportunity for the local people to exhibit their talent and art to them which gives them an insight on the local culture and tradition. For instance, In Rajasthan state of India, Tourism contributes as a major component in the state GDP due to lot of visitors. Visitors buy many handicrafts products like carpets which are being manufactured locally.
Secondly, in last few years there has been significant growth seen in medical tourism also. Lot of guests is visiting countries for seeking medical assistance due to the cost factor and better care. For instance, In India, a heart surgery is cheaper than a surgery which is being performed in US and therefore lot of patients visits India for their medical assistance.
To conclude, I strongly believe that tourism should be encouraged and promoted across the globe. It helps them to have a different perspective about the place which you can't get without experiencing it. Visiting countries should ensure that they have a good policy for the visitors so that they can feel more comfortable and secure. Even as a tourist, they should ensure to abide the rules and regulations of the place without impacting the local sentiments.
