Nowadays more and more children acquire unhealthy eating habits. Why is it happening? What can be done to solve this issue?

In this decade, children are developing bad eating habits which can lead to many ailments such as obesity and numerous heart diseases. There are various reasons persuading children to consume junk food. However, by applying correct methods we can easily overcome this problem.

To begin with, the prime cause is the increased advertisement thru various channels such as newspaper, television and social media sites. These ads, for example, have great influence on children and they pressurize their parents to buy these tempting food items. Moreover, instead of cooking food at home, parents sometimes go out with their children and eat unhealthy food which can have bad impact on their health. In addition, the number of outlets which offer junk or packed food have increased over the period of time. These retailer outlets promote unhealthy food such as pizza, noodles and burgers which seem very tempting for adolescence. These food items lack necessary vitamins and proteins and thus, making children extremely ill and even handicap.

There are many precautions available to improve the situation. First and foremost, government has crucial role to play in it. For instance, government can instruct schools to make children aware about the drawbacks of consuming convenience food. Apart from that, various other campaigns can be initiated encouraging people to consume home-cooked food. Secondly, parents should keep a tab on their children’s eating habits so that they can be guided accordingly. Last but not least, influential advertisements should be either completed banned or restricted so that children do not see them. By implementing these solutions, we can bring down the consumption of fast or packed food significantly.

To conclude, collect actions from government and parents are required to overcome the problem. Moreover, individual awareness can also play key role in it.
