Topic: Many people in the undeveloped world die from diseases that are curable because they cant afford the medication to treat themselves. Do you believe that drug companies in the developed world should be obligated to make their products available at reduced prices in these undeveloped countries so that people do not die unnecessarily.
My essay:
Some people say that drugs and medicines’ prices must be reduced so that people from undeveloped countries will have a chance to access the cure of many diseases while others think that drug companies cannot and do not have to lower the prices of pharmaceutical products for the people in poor nations. This essay is going to discuss both views as well as my opinion.
To begin with, the act of decreasing the prices of drugs and medicines has a few merits. Firstly, poor children, women and men from rural areas, or from undeveloped countries will have the access to proper medical treatments easily. For instance, in Vietnam, when the big drugs companies made a downward change in the costs of some medicines so as the ethnic minorities from Lao Cai (a rural area in the north) could be cured from many diseases.
On the other hand, forcing the drugs companies to make the prices of medicines affordable to patients in poor countries contains a number of drawbacks. First of all, the decrease in prices may cause companies to sell at a loss, which leads to many dangerous consequences. For example, the ministry of medical reveals that the proportion of some ingredients in some medicines was decreased when the prices went down. In addition, the drug business field has higher chance of going bankrupt if they have to lower the prices without getting any supports form the governments. Furthermore, this action may increase the crime rate, especially in medicines and drugs dealing in poor countries.
Taking everything into account, it is necessary to help every individual to be fully developed, especially in medial care. However, the governments have to select the most suitable solutions which will not only enhance community’s health but also develop the drugs business field in developed countries.

My essay:
Some people say that the price of certain drugs and medicines must be reduced so that people from undeveloped countries will have a chance to access the cure for many diseases, while others think that drug companies cannot and do not have to lower the prices of pharmaceutical products for the people in poor nations. This essay is going to discuss both views as well as my opinion.
To begin with, the act of lowering prices of drugs and medicines has a few merits. Firstly, poor children, women and men from rural areas or undeveloped countries will have access to basic medical treatments. The perfect example of this is when the big drug companies in Vietnam dropped the price of some medicines so the ethnic minorities from Lao Cai (a rural area in the north) could afford the cure for many diseases.
On the other hand, forcing the drug companies to make the prices of medicines affordable to patients in poor countries contains a number of drawbacks. First of all, the decrease in price may cause companies to sell at a loss, which leads to many dangerous consequences. For example, the Ministry of Health reveals that the proportion of some ingredients in some medicines was decreased when the prices went down. (<-- It is a good idea to explain why this is an important drawback. For example, This meant the drugs were less effective.') In addition, the drugs business has higher chance of going bankrupt if they have to lower prices without getting any support from the government. Furthermore, this action may lead to an increase in the crime rate, especially in when it comes to drug dealing in poor countries. (<-- why will it lead to crime?)
Taking everything into account, it is necessary to help every individual to be fully developed, especially in medical care. However, governments have to select the most suitable solutions which will not only enhance the community’s health but also develop the drugs business field in developed countries.
