Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required. Discuss both of these views and give your opinion. Improving public health is not an easy achievement. Some people say sports facilities are crucial for approaching this aim. Conversely, others think this is not enough. In fact, it is necessary to come up with different measures instead of only concentrating on sports facilities.
Physical activities are truly important to human’s health. It avoids sedentarism and a bunch of diseases caused by it. Exercises not only help one’s being well fit, but also evitate heart-attacks and depression. Therefore, sports facilities are relevant to the development of public health and shall be widespread.
Meanwhile, there are people who are not into sports or cannot exercise themselves due to a special body condition. For instance, men and women who are overweight tend not to show themselves in gyms or others groups activities in which their bodies are exposed. Hence, public health policies have to pay attention to these individuals who otherwise would feel left aside. In other words, it is necessary to develop other measures for improving health to every person and not only for the sportive ones.
To summarize, sports facilities are important for public health but are not an enough measure. Not everybody is fond of or able to practice sports activities. Consequentely, other policies must be thought about. This is the only way to achieve a public health scene where all people can feel contemplated.
