Most people think that the truth should be objective rather than subjective when it comes to the news.

Do you think all news is true?

What is the function of a newspaper?

It is thought by many that facts should be unbiased and not to be bigoted for personal reasons when it comes to publishing news . Yet , due to interference of influential people and to damage popularity of famous people many journalist fabricate news . Because of these reasons I believe that news are not always authentic . This essay is going to discus the questionable authenticity of news and what is the purpose of newspaper in our life .
News feeds are increasingly losing their trustworthiness all around the world . There are several reasons behind this concern . Firstly , the bribery of journalists by politician and higher authorities to manipulate new and paint picture that goes in their favour . To illustrate , after the earthquake of 2008 many Pakistani journalist were allegedly paid by government to publish how well rehabilitation is going on , however in fact no work was done for the affected . It got uncovered by people who visited affected area themselves . Secondly , to defame celebrities many journalists publish fake news . For example , the publication of drug abuse by famous singer Justin briber to destroy his career . Later on got denied by the singer himself when he posted it on his social media that he is not engaged in drug addiction . These examples clearly shows why the news we get are not always based on factual information .
Despite growing concern , that news are losing their authenticity , many people around the globe start their day by reading the copy of their favourite news paper . The function of news paper is considered crucial in our life and society . It gives people an insight of what's happening both locally and internationally. Similarly , it plays a role of watch dog and uncover wrongdoings in our society . Moreover , news paper tend to entertain people in form of giving articles for pleasure reading , word puzzles and comic section. In addition , the marketing and advertising newspaper do is benefiting both local and international businesses .
To conclude , the news we get are often not based actual facts due to certain reasons . However , newspaper serves a strong purpose of giving insight , entertainment and advertisements.
