Today, high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, more and more people suffer from buying unnecessary products by means of advertisements. Personally, I tend to agree with this point.
Admittedly, today’s marketing strategy particularly, power of advertising can easily seduce you from right choice. For example, you can go to the market with a purpose of buying some vital products such as potatoes or anything else, but instead you cling to gardening tools. Because shop assistant advertised you these tools very effectively that you burn with a desire of reaping your own potatoes. Unfortunately, you will realize that you became a victm of an advertisement after getting home or after being scolded by your wife who wanted to cook you some fried potatoes.
Moreover, modern communities start to get addicted to advertisement power. If we look at this from the other side, it is an excelent way of introducing a product to consumers. Advertisement serves as a bridge between consumer and goods. Nonetheles, in most cases the third person, advertisers abuse the trust of consumers. Various advertisement companies simply “dump” their buyers. The worst is that they even attract role models in order to capture their victms. Our everyday life can be a bright example of this. Just turn the TV on and you will see your favourite actor impelling you to buy a new smartphone or anything else becoming nifty. Though, you have no need to buy these things.
In conclusion, it is an obvious fact that advertisements encourage people to buy things that they have no need for.
