120512 More and more pollution and waste are created these days. What do these problems cause to people? What should we do to reduce the pollution?

As a result of the modern industrialization and the population explosion, the amount of waste and pollution produced by human activities is increasing at a staggering pace. This trend has caused many problems and societies should take actions to address them.

As more waste and pollution are produced, many environmental problems are becoming increasingly serious. Firstly, more and more greenhouse gases, like factory emissions and car exhaust fumes, are released to the atmosphere. This will lead to the global warming problem which has raised much public concern nowadays. Secondly, due to the rising amount of waste, the water resource is polluted. Some places in the world are confronted with the problem of lack of clean potable water. Lastly, waste also contaminates farm land. This not only affects the productivity of the land but also poses threat to the food safety.

There are several actions that governments and individuals should take solve these problems. For governments, they could introduce laws to limit emissions from factories or force companies to use renewable energy from solar, wind or water. They could also introduce “green taxes” on drivers to encourage people to use greener public transport. In this way car emissions can be effectively reduced. For individuals, they should try their best to use products with less packaging and try to recycle as much as possible. All these actions can help to reduce waste.

To conclude, the environmental problems are worsening due to the increasing amount of waste and pollution created. Governments and individuals should both play their part to look after the environment.

As a result of modern industrialization and the population explosion, the amount of waste and pollution produced by human activities is increasing at a staggering pace. This trend has caused many problems and society should take action to address them.

As more waste and pollution are produced, many environmental problems are becoming increasingly serious. Firstly, more and more greenhouse gases, from factory emissions and car exhaust fumes, are released into the atmosphere. This is a leading cause of global warming which has recently raised much public concern. Secondly, due to the rising amount of waste, our water resources are becoming polluted. Some places in the world are confronted with the problem of lack of clean, potable water. Lastly, waste also contaminates farm land. This not only affects the productivity of the land but also poses a threat to food safety. (<-- this is a great paragraph. You present the issues clearly and in a logical way.)

There are several actions that governments and individuals should take to solve these problems. Governments could introduce laws to limit emissions from factories or force companies to use renewable energy such as solar, wind or water. They could also introduce “green taxes” on drivers to encourage people to use greener public transport. In this way, car emissions would be effectively reduced. Individuals should try their best to use products with less packaging and recycle as much as possible. These simple actions can help to reduce waste. (<-- by adding 'simple', it makes it sound easy, so people are more likely to comply.)

To conclude, environmental problems are worsening due to the increasing amount of waste and pollution being created. Governments and individuals should both play their part to look after the environment.
