Task 1 - Modern technology

The graph presents trends regarding the domestic usage of modern technology in the United Kingdom between the second half of 90’s and the beginning of 2000’s.
Cd player’s and home computer’s use went up steadily. The former increased more in 90’, rising less in 2000’s. On the other hand, PC’s use rose continuously.
Mobile phone climbed gradually from 1996 to 1999, when there was a wild fluctuation. However, it ended the year of 2003 up, reaching a percentage of nearly 70%.
By contrast, Internet access began in the end of 90’s. It grow more rapidly than the others, as it climbed from 10% to approximately 45% in less than 10 years. Until 2001, the percentage rocketed and between 2001 to 2003 it increased more slightely.
In conclusion, the numbers of all modern technology showed in the graph were upward. Nonetheless, mobile phone had a fluctuation, while the others rose steadily. Therefore, it can be said that gadgets’ and Internet’s usage are a customary part of British daily lives.
