Machine translation (MT) is slower and less accurate than human translation and there is no immediate or predictable likelihood of machines taking over this role from humans.
Do you agree or disagree?

Our world changed greatly over the last twenty years. Humanity has stepped into the age of computers, which gave us many benefits. One of them is machine translation. Being able to translate speech without an interpreter is a great advantage, since it saves people's time and money. However, some people claim that this type of translating is slow and often inaccurate. Personally, I find more advantages than disadvantages of such service.
Firstly, the main advantage of machine translation is it's cost. Most of these translation services, such as ''Google translate'', are completely free. Therefore, even though slight inaccuracies occur sometimes, it costs nothing to use. This helps in educational purposes and opens an opportunity for poorer people to learn new languages at the same time allowing them to communicate with people from different countries.
Secondly, as computers improve so do these services. As they get more popular they receive more funding necessary for better equipment. If we compared ''Google translate'' from the year 2008 with the one we are using at the moment, we would see a significant increase in both: translating speed and it's precision.
Thirdly, what makes these services superior to human translation is their mobility. Many of those services can be accessed through mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets, which makes machine translating a supreme choice in abroad trips, where translating is most needed.
In conclusion, even though machine translating is not ready to replace human interpreters yet, it is gaining popularity among people because of it's price, mobility and constant improvement. One day it may become a better solution than human-based translating.

Simply want to know what are my key weaknesses and a current band score. Many thanks!
