In many countries there is a widening gap between the rich and the poor. What do you think are the causes of this? What solutions can you suggest? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.
It is certainly true that the gap between the rich and poor are growing in some countries. There are various reasons for this inequality, but several steps can be taken to reduce this widening gap.
The economical problem may be caused by variety of reasons, but the major cause is found in political decisions. One of the principle reasons of this problem is disparity in the distribution of wealth and income. It means that wealth concentration is in the hand of a few individuals. This can lead to inequality in wages of different types of workers. A good idea would be raising the income of the poorest workforces. For an instance, businessmen should be encouraged to increase the salary of workers, working in poor areas.
In addition, lack of balance between supply and demand always brings income differences within societies. For example, surplus of skilled workforce graduates from institutions every year in many fields. Consequently, this issue leads to income gap between skilled labors and non-skilled labors. The obvious answer is the determination of job opportunities in each area and set the educational requirements with it.
