Some people believe that teaching children at home is best for a child's development while others think that it is important for children to go to school.
Discuss the advantages of both methods and give your own opinion.

There is always a constant debate whether to send children to public school or home schooling. I believe both methods of education possess their respective advantages. The essay will further discuss on the advantages of these two methods of schooling.

No doubt that home school has its certain benefits. Being home schooled, children are said to be more focused as they are on one to one lecture and guidance. In this case, they will not be distracted easily whether by the school surrounding or their classmates. Furthermore, teaching children at home also helps to customize the individual’s learning pattern to suit at their own pace. By doing this, children or teenagers could steadily catch up with their studies. Also, children can spend more time with their family. After all, family plays an important role in a child’s behavior and attitude. With this, they would not be influenced by their peers on bad habits like drugs and smoking.

On the other hand, public or private schools do offer advantages to children. It is said that children attending school are more independent. This is mainly due to the fact that they are forced to learn and deal with matters by themselves. Hence, they would eventually learn to cope with difficulties. Furthermore, teenagers will also learn to be sociable as they will make friends with others. What is more, school provides better access to physical resources such as sports equipment, musical instruments and library books.

In conclusion, I believe that schools are important for children to get them equipped with sufficient and relevant knowledge. Although home schooling do offer extra family tie and individual learning, the range of expertise and resources that schools offer cannot be matched in the home.

Although home schooling does offer extra family interaction and individual learning, the range of expertise and resources that schools offer cannot be matched in the home.
Really well done. You address both sides of the argument in a logical and easy to understand way. Great essay!
