General Writing Task 2: Noise Pollution

We are facing too many noise problems these days. What are the main causes of this situation? What can be done about it?
Noise pollution has become a major issue in today's society. There are several causes for this, for instance the noise from traffic and construction site. Because of these problems, it can have detrimental effects on human being. This essay will discuss the aforementioned causes and the disadvantages and what can be done about it.
First and foremost, the significant increase in the amount of vehicles has huge effect on noise problem. Take for example the sound of engine, horn, wheels and so on and so forth. For this reason, people are encourage to travel by public transport such as train or bus in order to minimise the problem.
Secondly, the noise from construction site is extremely disturbing especially to residents living surrounding the particular site. However, this can be resolved by scheduling the time when the construction worker are allowed to work. The time is to be set according to the most convenient time for the residents. The appropriate time when workers are not permitted to work is perhaps after 9pm on weekdays and all day on weekend.
Subsequently, noise pollution are able to damage people's health. Just to mention a few: hearing loss, increase in blood pressure which lead to stress and inability to sleep. These are, of course, not to be taken lightly. If one is forced to dwell in high noise pollution, certain measures should be taken, such as the usage of ear plug or home insulation for noise reduction. It would be excellent if government can take this matter seriously and aid in dealing the problem.
In conclusion, noise pollution is a serious problem and people should be aware of the danger. It hoped that in the future there will be advanced technology, capable of diminishing the problem.
