Some people think the main benefit of international cooperation is in protection of the environment, while other think that the main benefit is in the world business. Discuss both views and give opinion.
Today, globalization has led to interchange of ideas on world views, products and other aspects of culture. While some believe increased international co-operation benefits in protecting the environment other believe it to be beneficial for trade. Analyzed below are both the viewpoints.
One the one hand, it is believed by some that increased international co-operation has resulted in in creating awareness on protecting our planet. An instance illustrating this in action is the Earth Hour. Although the event originated in Australia, it was quickly adopted worldwide and has been instrumental in conservation of energy by encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour. When looking at this example, there is no doubt that frequent interchange of ideas between countries helps in preserving Mother Nature. Thus it can be understood why some believe that our environment has benefited by increased international co-operation
On the other hand, greater than before world trade has been attributed by some to an ever increasing international collaboration. For example, the recent pacts with Japan and European Union have led to a surge in the exports of Indian handicrafts to these countries and an increased demand for their goods in India, mutually benefiting the economies of these nations. This example clearly shows that increasing cross boundary collaboration boosts trade. Thus, it can be clearly understood why some believe that increased transnational partnerships has resulted in increased trade world over.
In my opinion, global collaboration has helped in improving world trade as well helped in conservation of the environment. In conclusion, it is recommended for all the countries to join hands in preserving the environment and encourage global trade.
