One thing I would say is keep trying, but ensure to know the mistakes you doing, IN my writing I seen some improvements,
first 6 , then 6.5 and finally 7. Unfortunately , last time I scored 6.5 due to some reasons that I am not aware.
But I know my weak areas.

show your writings to some IELTS instructors, then you could possibly figure out your problem. Actually, you are almost there because you score high in speaking means your are grammatically strong.


Keep working, you will achieve it.

Hi Durai,

After 4 painful attempts in writing, i was convinced that the IELTS EXAM was a scam. When all hope was certainly lost, today i got a shocker when i checked for my online results L8.5; R7.5; W7.5; S8; O8.

After i read your post about identifying weakness, i embarked on a mission to identify my weaknesses on writing. I noticed that i have this tendency of subconsciously omitting short words like at,the etc in my sentences and my handwriting is somehow hard to read sometimes. Although i wasn't able to work on my weaknesses due to work commitments and time constraints but i believe knowing them made a difference.
What suprises me is that this type i never got the chance to practice for any part except watching one of Ryan's videos on writing the night before.

Have you requested for revaluation before?
I guess you might not need to suffer that much as you were that close for 3 times. It is highly likely that you could have been remarked higher in at least one of them if you tried.

Anyway, congratulations!
