I am very much enjoying this new community of IELTS enthusiasts at ieltsnetwork.com, but I feel (let me know if you agree) that it is important to identify the people that have already achieved IELTS success. In doing this, students can better gauge the advice they are receiving.

Hi Ryan,

I tend to disagree with those who got overall band 7 & 8 giving feedbacks for the essay writing. Because, from my personal experience, I got overall 7.5 & 7 in my previous attempts of IELTS. But, the fact is that I got only 5.5 in writing on these occasions. Since the other module scores are high, I achieved overall 7.


I will say that, If the member has scored 7 and above in writing & speaking will be a good option.(since these are the two discussion sections here in this forum)

i have given ielts 4 times ,twice in India and twice in Australia my score in each test THE SCORE WAS

L=8,R=6.5,W=7,S=7
L=7,R=6.5,W=6,S=7.5 OVERALL SCORE HAS ALWAYS BEEN 7 AND ABOVE
L=7,R=7,W=5.5,S=7.5
L=7.5,R=7,W=6,S=8
NOW WAITING FOR MY RESULTS FOR WHICH I GAVE THIS OCT
I NEED INDIVIDUAL 7

I gave IELTS GT in August and my scores were
L - 7.5, R - 6.5, W - 6.5, S - 6.5. Overall score was 7. I need 7 or above individually.

I am attempting one more time this month end.

I gave IELTS GT for the second time on 26th October and my scores are L - 8.0, R - 8.5, W - 6.5, S - 6.5. Overall score was 7.5.
