Topic: Relation between families is less close than before. Why? Solutions?
In today’s world, it is true that families are not as close as they used to be. There are several factors contributing to this trend, which should have appropriate solutions immediately.
First of all, it is easy to realize that family structure has been changed. Instead of extended families with different generations, families have a tendency to form small nuclear families. For example, in Vietnam, a great deal of families consist only two parents and a child in each at present. It is worth noting that while parents spend most of time working outside their house to make ends meet; their children have to pay attention much time to overloaded homework in classes. As a result, every member seems not to have time enough for each other, which create a huge gap in families with a view to sentiment and behavior. Moreover, the spread of multimedia such as TV or the Internet has an effect on relationships among members. Sitting in front of the screen during the day, children are likely to not interact with other people, even their parents. It is clear that the invention of the multimedia has bound them at home to kill the time; therefore, they are unable to live their fully lives.
In order to improve this tendency, a large number of ways are shown for these families. One of the most essential solutions is that some outdoor activities such as going for a picnic or throwing a party should be complemented at least once a month within one family or a group family. This will help connect other members in families by having a gossip with each other. Furthermore, it is necessary for parents to consider more about their children mentally and physically, especially for teenagers.
In conclusion, there are some issues that are not in our hands like changing world and financial crises, but still we can get closer with our families by introducing some changes to our lifestyle
