It is quite common for both parents in a family to work. Sometimes this is because they need two salaries to survive whereas at other times it is their choice.
What problems do you see in this situation? How does this affect the children and family life?
My Essay:
Families with working parents are a common sight in current times. This could be a matter of choice on part of the parents or due to ever increasing expenses. It is felt that this situation has an adverse effect on child’s behavior and health. Examples of both these points will be discussed in this essay.
Discipline at home is a key factor which shapes children to become model citizens of this world. For example, at certain times, parents need to use their judgment to discipline their children when they behave in a rather inappropriate manner. As is seen in this example, parents are responsible in improving conduct of their offspring. After analyzing this it is clear those children from families that have both working parents have disciplinary and behavioral issues.
Obesity is at the core of health issues among young children. It is observed, for instance, that fast food chains that have home delivery system, are being used equally by adults as well as home alone children who have the tendency to order and eat more than is necessary. This goes to show that unsupervised children are more susceptible to physical problems than their supervised counterparts. Thus, absence of either of the parents is bound to cause health problems which in turn lead to bigger problems within the family.
To conclude, it is clear that whether by choice or by necessity, those families where both parents are working, tend to have problems and negative impact on children and home life. It is hoped that parents can find a balance between work and domestic life for a more fulfilling family experience.
