hi to all,

I received my ielts test result today, and i was in a state of sorrow to see my results. i took ielts 2nd time, i will share my previous scores and new as well.

i need some advice from senior members, it will really help me in deciding my future attempt.

1st attempt IELTS Scores:

Listening : 6.5, Reading:6.5, Writing:6.5, Speaking:6.0 overall 6.5 (GT)

2nd Attempt Scores:

Listening : 7.5, Reading: 7, Writing: 6.5, Speaking: 6.5 (GT)

my question is that should i take ielts GT again or should go for AC? and after how much time is suitable to re appear in ielts exam to get 7 in each band...?

your suggestions and comments are highly welcomed...

Hi Adeel,

Nice to meet you.

I wouldn't get too upset about the results. You have improved in three of the four skills, so that's something to keep in mind. Keep up with whatever study regime you are following for L, R and S, as it is obviously producing results. For Writing, consider getting a personal tutor in your area that knows the IELTS well and can tell you precisely how to improve.

I wouldn't take the Academic on the assumption that it is a more lenient exam.

Good luck,
Ryan
