Some people think that spending a lot on holding wedding parties, birthday parties and other celebrations is just a waste of money. Others, however, think that these are necessary for individuals and the society. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The idea of conducting parties arises because of many reasons. Most of the parties are held to celebrate success, new stage of life also sometimes to encourage or motivate people. Alternatively, it is being thought that the person organising parties is wealthy in his society. In contrast to this, many people think that parties may have greater negative impact on the life style.

Optimistically speaking, business parties help in creating new relations or sharing innovative ideas among people when they are gathered in a particular place. Either it is a birthday party or a wedding party, it keeps the relation intact and allows family members to recollect the happiest moments they have had during their childhood or any other good moments related to the family. People definitely need some space to make themselves free from their daily routines. For example in India, during wedding parties we get a chance to eat multifarious cuisines of food. We can also find people wearing different attires and get an essence of tradition.

Secondly, there are people who spend lavishly in the name of wedding or birthday parties. They are not bothered of money that is wrongly spent. This kind of spending might have negative impact on children, as present day kids have become stubborn and they stick to the point of spending on parties irrespective of their financial status.

To conclude, I would say that parties must be held depending on the families’ financial status and correct reason of celebration. Conducting parties would definitely have advantages if that is carried out in a right manner. People must be able to choose and dig out proper ways to celebrate. We are in a temporary world where the life expectancy is less and also enjoyment is inevitable. So utilising the opportunity wisely would be beneficial to both individuals as well as the society.
