Humans are living in a dynamic world where they constantly encounter changes in life. Therefore, the apprehension about variations seems to have existed in them since the early stage. This essay will point out two consequences and propose two solutions to this resistance to changes.
It is apparent that those people hesitate to make change often suffer troubles in lives. Firstly, they might find it difficult to integrate into new surroundings. This means that wherever they go, they are under the impression of being unsafe and isolated. Overseas students and their cultural shock embody this idea perfectly. Secondly, hesitation could often hinder the opportunities to succeed. People choose to follow the traditional ways because they are afraid of failure. Consequently, they usually miss the valuable chances to create their own achievements.
Two proposed solutions are based on individual’s attitude towards his life. The most obvious one is for people to practice undergoing a few changes in daily activities. Taking a new route to school, having a new hairstyle or playing some extreme sports, for instance, could greatly improve your flexibility and increase enthusiasm for exploring new things. Another method is to apply yourself to more challenging jobs or competitions. This creates the incentives to think about innovative ideas and the courage to carry out what you have planned. Participating in adventurous tours or experimenting on a various ways of working would be incredibly helpful.
To sum up, not being able to make change probably shrinks your possibility to succeed. In order to overcome the fear of new things, one should allow his daily life and work to meet with different problems.
