two-letter answers for reading and listening

Post by lcfuentes »

Hi Ryan, hi all,

Having found this community through Ryan Higgins IELTS facebook (excellent!), I've felt less alone in my journey to succesfully achieve the IELTS score I need. Thank you very much!

As many here, I have a question of how to properly answer when writing letters for the listening and reading test. This is to say, and giving that answers are read by a computer, how do you write answers with two letters?

For instance, let's say that the answer is "B and C"
Every single example of written answers show this in a different way:

B
C
(this is not possible given that there is one horizontal line for placing the answer)

B and C

B,C

B;C

B C

I don't forget that punctuation as well as words count so... ??? The last option is the most possible but it could be confusing leaving a space in between. I've never answer in this way...

Does anyone know how to correctly write this? It is one of my suspicions why I haven't got better score given that I clearly catch the right answers.

Thank you very much in advance for any help.
